Moments of Excellence Award
Submissions can either be on paper or via e-mail. However, they must be submitted via the Chief through the Director, MCCS who is the final approving official. Try to keep the write up to about 10-12 lines of text so we can fit it on the certificate. MOE awards are not limited to MCCS Employees, they can be presented to any person outside of MCCS as well.

Certificate of Commendation (Commanding General)
The Commanding General's Certificate of Commendation is only awarded for truly special accomplishments such as lifesaving acts, heroism, and significant community service acts that deserve recognition by the Commanding General. The Director, MCCS submits nominations to the Commanding General based on the Chief's written recommendation and justification.
Certificate of Commendation (AC/S, MCCS)
The Chief normally recommends a Certificate of Commendation to the respective Deputy based on the significant accomplishments, actions, or ideas of the MCCS employee. The Director and the AC/S, MCCS both sign and issue these awards.
Certificate of Appreciation
Given as a non-monetary award to employees as a "thank you" for outstanding performance within a particular section. The program manager may request these awards with the concurrence and signature of the Chief. Award recommendations should be forwarded to NAF HRO for processing, routing for signature and presentation.
Meritorious Civilian Service Award
The DoN Meritorious Civilian Service Award (MCSA) is the third highest honorary award in the DoN.
The Administrator, lAP will forward nominations for the DCSA, SCSA and MCSA to the lAB for evaluation. The lAB will return the nominations to the Administrator, lAP with a recommendation. The Administrator, lAP will forward recommended nominations for the MCSA to the Commanding General (CG) for approval.
